How to Turn on Auto Hide for Taskbar on Second Screen

If you are in Windows Vista, then you should be able to use "Turn on Auto Hide for Taskbar on Second Screen" to hide your Taskbar in the second screen. This option is only available if you have the latest Vista operating system and should work on any computer with Vista installed - as it does not appear if your system is Windows XP. The reason why you need to be able to turn this feature on in the first place is because many people accidentally leave their Taskbars visible when they are using a new program or trying to view something on a secondary window.

To hide your toolbar permanently, you can use a program like AutoShade. This software will "turn off" all of the options that are available to you, so that the next time that you open Turn on auto hide for taskbar on second screen up a new window, the background and the menu will be hidden. As long as you have Vista, this will work well. Another method of hiding your Taskbar is by using Windows "Taskbar Enqire", which is included as an add-on with many newer installations. This option is often best left disabled, as it tends to make your desktop much less visually attractive.

In order to hide your toolbar permanently in the second screen, you will need to be able to uninstall any add-ons or toolbar extensions that you may have found using the add-remove programs feature of your Windows interface. To do this, go to the Add/Remove programs section of your control panel and click "Remove". When you find the programs or applications that you want to remove, you will see a list of them. Click on each of them to show a list of choices. Choose "Remove" and then follow the instructions above to hide your toolbar on the second screen.
